Zwabner (Sha’ag), David (Zadik)
Son of Leah and Rabbi Avraham-Chaim Shag was born on 7 June 1922 in Jerusalem, and his family, a well-to-do Jerusalemite family, served as a bonfire at the Etz Haim Yeshiva, “He received a teaching certificate, and David was gifted with a fine expression and left behind articles and lists in which he brought his thought to writing: A man was anxious about his religion and cautious in the commandments and traditions of the tradition. He took part in the fierce battles on the Jerusalem Road, and in particular, his daring work without hesitation in the brutal battle in Bab al-Wad. He was among the members of the “Halachah” platoon, Palmach and Hachash fighters who were sent as reinforcements to Gush Etzion after the large attack on the Bloc on January 14, 1948. The fighters set out from Hartuv on the night of January 15-16 and are loaded with weapons, ammunition and equipment , But due to the late hour of departure and the difficulties of the road, they were unable to reach Gush Katif in the middle of the night, and were discovered by villagers in the area of Beit Natif, Jaba and Surif, Battle Hill “today) and fought with the masses of Arabs until they all fell in battle on the day of the 15th of Shevat 5708 (16.1.1948). David was buried in a mass grave in Kfar Etzion on 17 November 1949 and was transferred to the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem on 17 November 1949.
