Rami, son of Esther and Joseph, a survivor of the extermination camps in Europe, was born on November 12, 1951 in Bolzbich, Poland, and immigrated to Israel with his family in November 1956. During the Yom Kippur War, Rami served as a tank commander in the reconnaissance battalion, which participated in the battles of containment and the conquest of the Sinai Desert. Rami went through the first and most difficult stages of the fighting, was confident and believed in the IDF’s ability to defeat the enemy. On the 26th of Tishrei 5734 (22.10.1973), in the battle that took place in the area of ​​Ismailia, when his battalion assists the paratroopers unit, Rami’s tank was hit and he was killed.
