Son of Hassan and Nur. He was born on April 4, 1937 in Bida, Yemen. As a child he studied in the “cheder” in his hometown and when the family immigrated to Israel as part of the “Magic Carpet” Shalom continued to study at the elementary school in Ein Karem until he completed his studies there. As a child, he belonged to the Gadna, was a painter and colorator from the necessity to help support the family and educate his sisters, and was one of the initiators of the establishment of the Mishkan Yaakov synagogue in Ein Kerem. , He was always restrained in his troubles and overcome the obstacles of time, he had no egoism, no greed, no jealousy, and his friends and relatives noted various qualities to his credit. He also participated in the Sinai Campaign. He fulfilled his duties to his people and to his country with all his will and without hesitation. At the outbreak of the Six-Day War, he was again in reserve duty and was not satisfied with fulfilling his duties as a liaison, but always wanted to help others and relieve failed soldiers from carrying their heavy burden – not in his role but from the brotherhood that was inherent in his blood. On the second day of the battles, he was 26 Iyar 5727 (6.6.1967), fell in a battle held at Armon Hanatziv in Jerusalem. He left a wife, a daughter and a son, and the son was eight months old when his father fell. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
