Yurman, Yitzhak


Yitzhak, son of Rosa and Yeshayahu Yurman, was born in 1920 in Czernowitz, Romania. He was active in the organization of immigration to Eretz Yisrael and immigrated to Israel at the end of 1944. Yitzhak was sent to fortifications in Haifa. In this work, he fell on the eighth of Adar 2 (March 19, 1948) from a sniper’s bullet, and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Beit Oren, leaving a wife and son who was born after his death and named after him.
