Yunnan, Eyal Yaakov

Yunnan, Eyal Yaakov

Son of Tovah and Aaron. Born on August 5, 1975 in Jerusalem. Eyal wanted to be an officer in the IDF, but after an injury to his leg he had to undergo many treatments, and despite this, with remarkable stubbornness he managed to finish the combat path and be among the best soldiers in the company. On June 5, 1997, Eyal, along with his friend and army commander, Uri, his two parents and another friend, was on his way to Uri’s wedding in Moshav Hazoreim in the north, and everyone was waiting for the arrival of the groom and his escorts. The next day, the horrors were discovered, and in one of the turns, the vehicle veered off toward Wadi, where Eyal was found. He was buried at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, and was survived by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
