Lucky and Joseph. He was born on the 21 th of February 1974 in Safed, to a cohesive family, warm and loving. Meir was the youngest son, brother to my daughter, Yael and Mickey. A handsome boy with golden curls and a captivating smile that always poured on his face, full of light. Meir grew up in Ashdod, studied at the Shilo elementary school, and grew up in the values of tradition and religion. He continued his studies at the “Makif Hashem” High School, where as in elementary school he became a very popular student in society, which everyone liked to be with. He always smiled, respected the other, did not know what anger was in any situation, and in every possibility offered himself and volunteered even when he did not have to. On high school trips, he was the focus of all the friends, without whom they would not go for a walk. During the summer vacation he spent time with his family in the north of the country, where they visited the extended family, and fell in love with the clear air, the quiet landscape, and the city. Meir loved fishing, traveled a lot, and whenever he had no plans he would get up, throw some clothes into a small bag and leave. He was spontaneous and flowed with everything that did him good. Meir grew up in a small, warm neighborhood and spent his time with friends on walks, in the pool and the sea, and sitting on the iron. In August 1993 he joined the IDF and served as a driver in the Transportation Corps, as well as everywhere, loved him and did not love him. They could have been without him. To this day, the guys who served with him in regular service and continued to do reserve duty with him do not forget the good moments they took with him during their regular service. Meir’s dream of finding a woman similar to his mother came true, and he found his heart’s choice this season as his lucky mother (Mazi). On 11 June 2001, the couple married and had two lovely children: their eldest son, Lior and Shahar, their youngest daughter. The couple lived with Meir’s parents, who helped them so much that they fulfilled their dream and bought a house next to them. Meir arranged and renovated the house, bought new furniture, worked hard and made sure there was nothing missing for his loved ones. He loved his wife very much and always wanted to make her happy, and he loved his children very much and always cared for their education. Meir joined his path to religion and learned to enrich his married life and educate his children. He always sought to improve and develop, respected, helped and loved his parents, sisters and brothers. Meir loved the wheel very much, and in his last occupation he served as a truck driver in a metal products company. Meir went happily to every call to reserve duty and spent seven years doing reserve duty with those same friends. In the last reserves he was called on, on July 23, 2006, during which he fell, the battalion was split up and he broke up with his friends. On August 15, 2006 Meir fell in the line of duty and he is thirty-two years old. He was laid to rest in the Ashdod military cemetery.
