Moni, son of Erika and Benjamin, was born on September 4, 1952 in Tel Aviv. After studying at the David Yellin Elementary School in Hadar Yosef and at the New High School in Tel Aviv, he completed his studies at the “Michelle” School in Tel Aviv and was a good student who was gifted with technical skills and excelled in repairing instruments He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement and participated in its activities, and was a tall and successful athlete, a young and enthusiastic athlete who played soccer in the Maccabi Hatzair youth movement, swimming many times, and often playing basketball. Moni, who was a vegetarian like his parents, loved animals and grew them up and cared for them. He was always cheerful, playful, energetic, quick, sensitive, sociable, and loved by all his acquaintances, always willing to help others and helping his friends whenever they were in difficult situations. He was able to find a solution to the difficulties in a natural and effective way, and he was recruited to the IDF in early February 1971 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After completing basic training, he was assigned to the Armored Corps and was promoted to the rank of Corporal and was assigned to the Armored Corps and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. The unit came to the aid of the “Budapest” outpost, which the enemy tried to sever, and encountered Egyptian soldiers who had barricaded themselves there. The commander’s tank was hit by the Egyptians and Muni went out to rescue him. He was seriously injured by shrapnel, was transferred to the hospital and died of his wounds on the 13th of Tishrei 5734 (October 9, 1973). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his friend wrote to the tank crew: “In the short time I got to know Moni, I was impressed that he was exceptionally smart, knew how to manage things and lead the tank properly.
