Yahalom (Diamant), Hanan


Hanan, son of Sarah and Ze’ev, was born on November 4, 1949 in Jaffa. Hanan was drafted into the IDF at the end of September 1967, and volunteered to serve in the paratroop brigade together with his core members. After basic training, he took a parachuting course and a sabotage course. He was responsible and dedicated to his job, and his commanders knew that he could be trusted, and that every task he was entrusted with would fulfill his full satisfaction.In 1971 he married his girlfriend Linda, and as always Was a devoted son of his parents, a husband loyal to his wife and a loving father to his son, and when the Yom Kippur War broke out, he was drafted and sent to the Golan Heights front with his unit On October 12, 1973, Hanan fell in battle near Mazra’at Beit Jann. “(Bazooka) hit him while he was clearing mines, and he was killed on the spot. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Holon. He left behind a wife and son, father, mother, brother and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. His family established a library in his memory at the “Tavor” school in Holon.
