Vilozny, Elchanan
Son of Frida and Moshe, was born on August 10, 1920, in the city of Ostrolenka, Poland. When he was seven he immigrated with his parents to Israel. His company was assigned to conquer “Regiment 6,” one of the Egyptian “Burma Road” administrations that linked Iraq-Suidan with Faluja on the 1st of Cheshvan 5708 (November 3, 1948). He had been wounded in the same place a short time before, but without waiting for his complete recovery he returned to his company. He left behind a wife and daughter. After his fall, he was promoted to captain. He was laid to rest in the Warburg military cemetery.
