Verber, Chen

Chen, the son of Vered and Tzachi Verber, was born on the 8th of Cheshvan 5752 (2.10.1995) in Moshav Galia near Rechovot. He represented his hometown Rechovot at the Mathematics Olympiad, and in addition to his high scholastic achievements, he demonstrated extraordinary social skills and was awarded a certificate of excellence.
On February 4, 2015, Chen joined the IDF. He served in the Intelligence Corps, in Unit 8200. Corporal Chen Verber fell in the line of duty on May 11, 2016, at the age of twenty. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Rehovot cemetery. He is survived by parents, three brothers and two half brothers. His mother opened a Facebook page called “Chen Verber-Zell” in his memory, in which she collects fragments of memories and photographs that together form a kind of memorial book.
