Uri, Micha
Micha, son of Ruth and Elkana, was born on May 19, 1952 in Hadera and studied at the religious elementary school in Kibbutz Yavneh. Micha was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early August 1970 and served in the Signal Corps, where he completed many courses and was assigned as a communications technician in Armored Corps, where he spent most of his service in Sinai or the Golan Heights. On October 12, 1973, Micha was killed by a missile in his armored personnel carrier, near the village of Nesj in the Golan Heights, during the break-in at the Kuneitra-Damascus junction, and he was laid to rest at the regional military cemetery in Gedarot.
