Tzur, Zvi (“Tzvika”)

Tzur, Zvi (“Tzvika”)

(Born November 21, 1945) in Afula and studied at the Bialik Elementary School in Holon, the city that grew up, was educated and lived there until the day he fell. He was a member of the team’s board of directors and was a member of the team’s management and was very fond of the game and watched most of the matches played by the various teams in Israel. He spent many hours raising ornamental fish in the aquarium, and after graduating from elementary school he went to work as a painter, first with his father and then as an independent. Drafted into the IDF was requested at the beginning of February 1964 and was assigned to the Engineering Corps. He was loved by his comrades and after being released from regular service, they maintained close contact. About two months after his marriage, he went to reserve duty for the first time and his unit was then attached to the Armored Corps. While serving in the reserve duty was hospitalized due to an injury at the hospital in Be’er Sheva. In the days he lay there his face was smiling, though his pains were great. In the hospital, he found another hobby, the copper-stamping of photographs. Every time he went to reserve duty he would return home full of experiences. There was no limit to his happiness and joy when he was with his infant son, who was his source of pride. During his service he wrote letters full of homesickness and always wrote a special letter to his little son. He always knew how to be fond of little children and they stuck to him. Just as he was a friend of the children and a loyal father to his little son, he was also a devoted husband to his young wife. Tzvi sang the joy of life at home. He was kind to his family too, especially when he came to their aid, even if it involved difficulties and efforts. He also offered help to his friends when necessary, without any expense or to receive a reward. He did not know what hatred was, and it was innocence, love, and gentleness. He had never known despair, and his kindness and cheerful, cheerful voice filled the house. These qualities he liked about everything and because of them they always wanted to be with him. On the 7th of Tishrei 5731 (7.10.1970), a wife and a four year old son named Assaf, parents, brothers and sisters were placed in a Bialik school.
