Uzi was sensitive to the beauty of the landscape in Israel, used to travel every opportunity and wanted to study geography and geography of the Land of Israel. Before he was drafted, he improved his physical fitness in long runs, because he knew he would enlist in a combat unit. Indeed, he reached the armored corps and felt the pride of the unit. At first, Uzi served as a member of the Armored Corps. He wanted to take part in a tank commander course, but was rejected for a short period of time. His insistence bore fruit, and in an interview with the chief of the command he persuaded and accepted the course, thereby realizing his ambition to be the commander of the Merkava tank. He told about the magical landscape in Lebanon, the rich vegetation of this country, the orchards of cherries and almonds, and the streams and reservoirs of the country. Uzi served in his unit in Lebanon three months after the war and served as a unit commander. One of the crews was missing a tank commander, and Uzi volunteered to take his place. In a jeep with his soldiers, from the outpost to the unit, two months before his release, an RPG missile was fired at them. Uzi was killed, along with two other soldiers. Sgt. Uzi fell in combat in Lebanon on the 22nd of Elul 5742 (10.9.1982) and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Nahariya. He was 21 years old when he died.
