Born on 19.12.1977 at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, he grew up in Dimona and began his studies at the Yitzhak Sadeh Elementary School, completing his junior high school at Alon High School and graduating from Lehman High School Where he studied in the real-world track, and during his studies he was an outstanding student and pleased his teachers. “His teacher from the elementary school writes:” Oren, your image rises before my eyes and I see a boy, Shalom ‘is ahead / and if you ask – his voice will be pleasant. For seven years you studied in Yitzhak Sadeh, and in four of them I taught you / and you were always an outstanding student / quiet, humble and answered / we were the only good teachers we spoke to you … “Oren was a delightful young man who stood out in his pleasant manner. He has been in excellent physical shape and has worked in a variety of sports: walking, running, fitness, hiking, and especially playing basketball – from childhood to the world of entertainment – the stage and the music Oren was blessed with a stage and evening voice and was a member of the Duminoer band in his city. A solo song called “Desert Child.” Oren represented the country when he appeared with the band to Jewish communities in Europe on several days of independence Dina, who appeared on a television show with Yaffa Yarkoni and was a guest on the Zumbit children’s program, Oren liked to listen to Aviv Geffen and Shlomo Artzi, and he was very interested in computers. In March 1996, Oren enlisted in the IDF for the engineering corps. He expressed high motivation to serve as a combat soldier and began his training course in combat engineering. Oren spent five months of basic training at the Military Engineering School, at the engineering base in the Jordan Valley, at the bases in Bethlehem and Gush Etzion, and reached the engineering base in the north of the country. During basic training he was chosen as an outstanding trainee in physical fitness. To his chagrin, he was forced at some point to withdraw from combat because of medical problems. He was stationed at the base of the military engineering school in the Uvda cliffs where he served as a clerk in the base commander’s office. In light of his excellence earlier, and began to serve as the head of the Bar. Oren appreciated his commanders and was very proud of his position. As a sign of his professional performance, it was decided to grant him a symbol rank earlier than expected before he accumulated the required seniority. His commanders noted his courtesy, his thoroughness, and the respect and honesty with which he treated others. Thanks to his high personal data, he was recommended that he undergo an officer’s examination and go to the officers’ training course. Oren dreamed of a military career and progress in the ranks but failed to realize his plans. On January 9, 1998, Oren fell during his service at the age of twenty. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Dimona. Survived by his parents, sister – Orit and two brothers – Osher and Ophir. On his grave, his commander eulogized him: “Sometimes I tell myself that maybe this is just an unsuccessful hoax because it is inconceivable that this delicate, sensitive, shy, diligent and kind guy is not with us. Oren, I want you to know that you will continue to be with us in memory and in consciousness, as beautiful and good as we knew you in life. ” The commander of the unit in which Oren served wrote to the family: “Oren served in my unit for about ten months as a head clerk in my office, and during his service he demonstrated diligence, seriousness and personal levelHigh. Oren was an exemplary soldier who always loved to help and help others, volunteered for every mission and performed his role in the best possible way, with the motivation and devotion that are worthy of great esteem … In our pain we will remember Oren forever as an outstanding soldier. ” At the time, Lt. Col. Amnon Lipkin-Shahak: “Oren was described by his commanders as a diligent soldier with a high personal ability who liked to help and help those around him at all times.” Oren aspired to perfection, volunteered for every mission and was admired and accepted by his commanders and friends alike. Oren’s family commemorated the introduction of two liturgical calendars of the weekly Torah portion, including a dedication to the Magen Eliyahu synagogue and the Gaon Yaakov synagogue and study hall in Dimona. The family also donated a Sefer Torah to Parashat Shemot. This affair is an important place in Oren’s life and death: it was the weekly Torah portion on his birthday, on his Bar Mitzvah day and on the day of his fall. Another donation was given to a synagogue in Ramle, for a Sefer Torah for Parashat Va’era. Tehillim and arrangements with a dedication in memory of Oren were distributed to relatives, friends and synagogues in Dimona.
