Stoyan, Florentin
Ben Mariana and Nicolai. Was born on September 5, 1972 in Romania and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1973. Florentin was the only child of his parents. About a year after his immigration to Israel, his father left the country and he remained here with his mother. He studied at the Sharett Elementary School in Pardes Hannah. Afterward he moved to Kibbutz Yad Hannah and was educated in the junior high school of Givat Haim. He completed his studies at the Netanya Youth Center in the field of diamond polishing. Florentine was a tall, sturdy, handsome lad. Before his enlistment in the IDF, he returned to live with his mother and his stepfather in Kiryat Ata, and worked as a truck driver for Tene Noga, and was drafted into the IDF in early April 1991. During his basic training, his mother died. After basic training, he took a preventive driving course and was stationed at the military police training base as a driver. His commanders testify that he easily liked his friends and received positive assessments. His friends describe him as a lively young man. As Doron says, he was a member of the unit: “He was always a guy, always laughing, telling jokes, about the army, he was so cute and smiling.” On the fifteenth of Elul 5751 (25.8.1991) Florentin fell during his service and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his grandmother – Nina and David. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commanding officer wrote: “Flory has done his work faithfully and devoutly, standing out in his care and attention to the heavy responsibility placed on his shoulders. And all those around him.In the memory of Flory as a person, friend and evil will be comforted. “
