Dov, son of Hannah and Moshe, was born on September 26, 1950, in Be’er Sheva. Dov was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in late October 1968. After completing a series of professional courses, he was assigned to combat engineering units, and since he succeeded in his duties he was sent to an officer’s course, He was a commander and an excellent professional, who was well versed in all aspects of combat engineering, and was constantly on the ladder and continued to study, study, acquire courses and acquire additional knowledge in his profession. Especially in his position as company commander, and the fire exercises he carried out with his company were praised He was considered a tough and strict commander, but admired by his soldiers for his concern for them and the right to know what he had demanded of them: “As a company commander, Dov did not spare any effort to take care of the soldiers’ needs. These qualities were admired by soldiers and commanders. ” During the Yom Kippur War, Dov was commander of the rear base. In the first hours of the war it was still at its base. But when the fighting increased, he went down to Sinai to be with the fighting units. On October 18, 1973, Dov was hit and killed in a battle near the Abu Sultan camps, when a missile hit the armored personnel carrier His command. He was laid to rest at the Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents. After his fall, he was promoted to the rank of Major.
