Ran, son of Simcha and Zvi, was born in Petah Tikva on July 11, 1943. He studied at the PIKA school in Tel Aviv and later studied at the ORT vocational high school in Tel Aviv, specializing in electronics, at home he was educated and respected by his friends – Adam was a man with many friends and friends who had deep ties with him and was not satisfied with a superficial acquaintance, he was well-informed and intelligent, he had a sensitive soul and an aesthetic sense, he loved to look at landscapes and enjoy the sight of his eyes, and even to visit art exhibitions and to listen to classical music. He quickly learned the practical part of the profession, was efficient in his work and guarded the army’s property. “On his discharge certificate from the regular army service, He took an Armored Corps course and was an outstanding student. He was a good son to his parents, a dedicated and loyal husband to his wife Meira and a father who loved his little son Roi, which he devoted much of his time to playing with him and reading stories to him before he went to sleep. After the liberation, he opened a store for electrical appliances and television in Petah Tikva. After a few years he moved with his family to Arad and managed with his father the Nof Arad Hotel. He excelled in his actions and received great praise for his diligence and understanding. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, he was drafted and sent with his unit to the front in Sinai, where he participated in the battles on the northern axis, as a communications technician in the battalion’s command and control unit. That a supply truck had entered an ambush by Egyptian commandos and that they were preparing to attack the battalion as well. In the early morning of the 11th of Tishrei 5734 (October 11, 1973) at the Kantara-Beluzah junction, a shell hit his half-track, and Ran was killed on the spot, and he was brought to eternal rest in the Arad cemetery.
