Shem Tov, Ronen

Ben Sarah and Rafael. He was born on April 20, 1973, at the “Soroka Hospital” in Be’er Sheva. Ronen studied at Amirim Elementary School, continued to the Comprehensive High School in his hometown and graduated as an electronics technician. He was a talented and quick-paced student; Each year he was awarded the title “Outstanding Student” and brought great pride to his parents. As a child he loved animals very much and used to say that in the future he would be a veterinarian. All the children in the neighborhood knew Ronen and used to bring in sick animals to treat them with his trusted hands. Ronen also loved riding horses and every Saturday he would go to a kibbutz where his father worked and visit the animal corners. Ronen was a warm and loving family man and his eldest son had a wonderful relationship with his brother Yaniv and his sisters Inbar and Einav. In 1993 he enlisted in the IDF, was located in the Air Force and served in the Air Defense School. At the end of three years of service he was released and then the motorcycle bug stuck to him. Ronen insisted on buying a motorcycle despite the objections of his mother, who was concerned about his safety and tried in every way to dissuade him. But not a determined and stubborn man like Ronen will easily give up his wishes; When Ronen wanted to achieve something, nothing stood in his way. He quickly took out a motorcycle driver’s license and bought a 500 cc motorcycle, and his friend was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, which shocked Ronen and he began to think about selling the motorcycle. Ronen was on his way to the base when he lost control of the motorcycle on June 19, 1997, Fell to a ditch four meters deep and was killed at the age of twenty-four when he fell, and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Baba R. Seven left parents, brother and two sisters, and since the harsh news of his death came down, he had become saddened by the family, with the many memories of the moments of laughter, family experiences and shared walks. Torah named after the synagogue in Kadima The Be’er Sheva Municipality commemorates Ronen’s memory at the Beit Ronen Club, where children arrive at the end of the school day, receive a warm meal and enjoy a variety of activities. Ronen’s name was also immortalized at the Naval School at the “Mashabei Sadeh” base, where a club was established in his honor, and an olive tree was planted in his grove after the fall. … Days, nights, months and years passed and you are thirty-three. We remember you nine years ago, twenty-four years old. I always think how you look now when you’re thirty-three. Every parent has ambitions. Just a few weeks ago I remembered how I fought for your studies, how I moved you from school to another school and that drove me crazy, I hit myself on the head and said: Why did I do all this? Why did I fight and let you fight? “I used to let you enjoy life … I was always worried that you would learn and be a good person and in the end … on a hot, bright August day in seconds … Suddenly they took you away from me … it ‘s not fair, you did not enjoy life, you never saw a world. “On Memorial Day for IDF Fallen Soldiers, we visited the base and went to visit the club, where your picture hangs and a soul candle is lit all year round, and in this room there are always soldiers, playing and listening to music. , Like soldiers, and every tree has a nameTea of course in the first row in the middle, and your name is written in capital letters. Your tree is an olive tree and it gives fruits and leaves. Ronen, the tree will remain for generations, this tree will not die … And how do you think we as parents feel? On the one hand, it’s good to have it at least, and on the other hand we ask why? Why is there no answer ??? “Einav fulfilled her dreams, issued a license and visited you alone, visiting and kissing a cold stone in the winter and hot in the summer instead of your face …” Ronen, your friends visit and call on Memorial Day and Memorial Day. And thank you in our name and in your name to all those who support and encourage us in these years. We have no words to describe how many good people there are … “
