Shams, Oshrat
The eldest daughter of Janet and Ephraim. She was born on March 18, 1986, In November 2004, Oshrat enlisted in the IDF, She was sent to the Negev Police District in Be’er Sheva, was hired in the Human Resources Division and served in the Division for about a year and five months. All of them won the admiration of their commanders. Her colleagues wrote: “Oshrat’s service was characterized by efficiency, diligence, love for others and a warm and genuine human temperament, and she responded to every request and served with a rare smile and tolerance.” Oshrat fell during her service on 19 March 2006, the day after she celebrated her twentieth birthday. Her sudden death left her family, members of the moshav and all her acquaintances and friends, stunned and amazed. She was brought to eternal rest in a police ceremony and was buried in the cemetery in Moshav Ranan, with many accompanying her on her last journey. Survived by her parents, two sisters – Meital and Eleanor and two brothers – Yakir and Eyal.
