He was trained in the battalion, and was later assigned as a combat soldier in an operational company. This decision was very proud of him, I saw during an interview with him. He quickly proved his personal abilities and joined the company brilliantly, mainly because of his ability to attract those around him. The fighters of the “Machatz” company took great pride in Lior, and his sweeping personality aroused great motivation among the fighters for operational employment in Lebanon. Lior wanted with all his might to carry out employment in Lebanon, mainly to prove to himself and to all of us what was – a true professional … Lior was a fine fruit, And you were educated. We, the family of the fighters of the Rumah Battalion, immediately saw that we had received special fruit. Lior was big, very strong, shaped in his soul, with special education for love of others. Lior Nitzan, the mayor of Rishon Letzion, wrote to his family: “This strong man was a friend and a bad friend, a son and a grandson. He helped and always contributed to everyone. He never said no to a friend, never Refused to the teacher or the commander, and to adults from whom he bowed his head shyly … That’s how I met him. For everything in his short life he found a good way, a way of his own, to do his duty and raise his contribution.
