Avishay (Avshai), son of Ora and Salem, was born on 5 November 1954. Avishai was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of January 1973, was stationed in the “Haruv” reconnaissance unit and was the driver of the car. truck. Avishai was wounded by enemy shell fragments and killed on the spot. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. His parents donated a Torah scroll to his synagogue in Ramat Hatayasim. His unit published a pamphlet in memory of its fallen soldiers in the war, and Avishai included them.
