A house in which they did not try to push, prevent or change, but rather let it grow with support, backing, encouragement and lots of love. At home they educated Zionism, the uncompromising love of the land and the understanding that there is no other place in the world, and this is our homeland. Already as a child, a number of traits stood out in my chest, which became milestones in his life: honesty, insistence on principles, curiosity and creativity, thoroughness, seriousness and loyalty, along with mischief and adventurism. Each task he took on himself performed meticulously, thoroughly and with maximum investment and without compromise. Hazi had a wonderful memory, he was interested in many fields, and therefore he had a broad and comprehensive knowledge of many subjects, such as history, politics, literature, cinema, sports and art. His hobbies, which accompanied him throughout his life, also began in childhood – reading, collecting, love for sports, nature and hiking. As a baby, every object in the house was transformed, with great imagination, into a toy and a toy. During the kindergarten and early elementary school, Hezi invested time and energy in various collections, and his favorite collection was collecting stamps. He was caught up in the matter, and the whole family took part in the operation. Every Friday, at a regular ceremony, the stamps were removed from the envelopes, collected during the week. In this hobby he continued until his enlistment, and now there are many albums in his closet, arranged and organized. When he was little, he liked to be told stories. In the few moments of respite that characterized his activity, he took a book and read it.
