Saban, Joshua-Mordechai

He took part as commander of a sappers’ unit in an attack on the Kastina airport, took part in an attack on an army camp in Zrifin, And was the commander of a unit in an attack on the Ramat Gan police force in which he was seriously injured, his left hand was paralyzed and he was in need of long-term treatment. Among other things, he was among those responsible for the kidnapping of the British judge Windham as a hostage during the battle for the life of Dov Gruner, an Irgun member who was sentenced to death by a military court On April 18, 1947, A British armored vehicle, with the aim of arresting those who were sitting there as a reaction to the raising of four of their comrades to the gallows in the Acre prison, when a British policeman emerged from the nearby post office and opened fire on them. He was identified by the British secret police and his body was taken away and brought for burial in the cemetery on Trumpeldor Street in Tel Aviv. His heroism is famous in “Their Memory for All”.
