Rosen, Moshe (“Buki”)


Son of Yosef and Hannah. He was born on 7 July 1946 in Tel Aviv and studied at the Tel Nordway Elementary School and at the Alliance high school in Tel Aviv, and during his studies he was very active in the various youth groups and was also a member and instructor of the Scouts movement “As a member of the Alliance Dance Company of the Alliance School, he traveled with the band to performances in France as a soloist, and was elected to the cultural committee of his class and participated in the school’s youth groups. Bar-Ilan University, to the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and was accepted to the Academic Reserve, where he passed all the required military courses, A squad commanders ‘course applies to officers’ course. During the Six-Day War he was called to service and participated in the battles to conquer Armon Hanatziv. After the war he continued his studies and received his B.Sc. in Natural Sciences and another degree in Bible and Jewish Law. His strong desire to achieve economic independence also served as a chemistry teacher at the agricultural high school in Pardes Hannah. His main hobby was reading books, and because of his desire for perfection and intellectual independence, he read and analyzed what he read, out of a strong and uncompromising sense of criticism. Moshe was drafted into the IDF in 1964 and after graduating from the academic reserve he was awarded the rank of lieutenant, while continuing his studies for a master’s degree, and he did so at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, and on the 17th of Adar 5722 1970.) After his fall, several of Moshe’s works in the field of chemistry were published in scientific publications, and the booklet was edited by his co-workers.
