Rojas Moreno, Albert
Albert, son of Mercedes and Jose, was born on August 25, 1953, in Tangier, Morocco. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1966, when he was bar mitzvah. Albert’s childhood was spent in Morocco, where he grew up and was educated. From childhood he was educated to love the Land of Israel and the people of Israel. For many years his family dreamed of immigrating to Israel and of the new life that would be opened to her in the new-old homeland. Finally, they succeeded in realizing the dream and the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Nahariya. Albert was a cheerful boy with a strong, healthy body and strong spirit. From an early age he was the mainstay of his family, both economically and morally. He supported his sick mother, encouraged her, and helped her through difficult periods of illness and anguish, which without his support there is doubt whether she would have survived them. On the evening of the 25th day of Cheshvan 5734 (November 20, 1973), he fell while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by his parents and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. His parents donated chandeliers to a synagogue in Nahariya.
