Robin, Amir (Amram)
Ben Aliza and Moshe. Born on the 22nd of Adar Alef 5736 (February 23, 1976) in Ashkelon. He is the second son of a family of four. Amir was a comfortable and quiet child, smiling and happy as a twin brother to his sister, who was born a year and two months after him. Amir attended the Ilanot Elementary School in Ashkelon. He was a good and quiet student and loved everything. During this period he adopted many hobbies: playing tennis and basketball, assembling tiny, complicated airplanes, and over time he became familiar with the names of airplanes and especially the names of fighter planes. He studied at the ORT Ronson High School. During this period Amir developed his love for music and music, a love that accompanied him until his death. He himself learned to play, to play guitar, learned to read music, and even wrote songs and composed them. In his last year of studies, he received a guitar from his parents. It was also a period of contact with many friends, who loved him, and with each one found the special personal connection. Amir was very interested in cooking. He even cooked himself and tried something new every time. In August 1994, Amir enlisted in the IDF, where he volunteered for a combat unit, and after infantry training for combat units, he underwent mechanical training to train as a combat soldier. On February 13, 1995, Amir fell while serving in the army. Amir was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. He was nineteen when he fell. Survived by his parents, two sisters – Miriam and Ravit. And Oren. In a letter of condolences to the family, Chief of Staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak wrote: “Amir was described by his commanders as a professional, quiet, devoted and friendly soldier who aspired to be a good fighter and worked hard to improve his fitness. Amir was admired and accepted by his commanders and friends alike … “The unit commander wrote:” … Amir stood out in the peace and quiet that characterized him and the desire to be a regular fighter. “
