Ben Miriam and Shalom. He was born on January 1, 1946 in Iraq, to ​​Joseph, Yechezkel, Marcel, Ruti, Yitzhak and Amnon. When he was three years old, Gadi was orphaned by his mother. In 1949, his father immigrated to Israel and settled with his seven children in Ness Ziona. Gadi studied at the Eshkol Elementary School in the city and completed his studies in the fine mechanics program at the Amal High School in Rehovot. In his youth he was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement and spent his free time devoted to the field of cinema, where he found great interest. Gadi loved to watch and discovered amazing mastery of master films, which were the quality films of the film and film industry. At the end of May 1964, Gadi was conscripted to the Armored Corps, where he was trained to serve as a tank mechanic and armored personnel carriers in a company in the southern part of the country. He graduated from compulsory service in 1967, continued his studies, and expanded his technical education in the field of military service. In the course of fine mechanics he was a lathe and a metalworker And contributed many hours repairing accessories in Na’amat Gardens in Ness Ziona. In 1970 he married Esther and their two sons, Pinchas (Penny) and Eyal, became a source of pride. Gadi was an exemplary family man and devoted to his family: his wife and children. On December 7, 1993, Gadi fell suddenly during his reserve service. He was forty-seven when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nes Tziona. Survived by Raya, two sons and four brothers and sisters. In a letter of condolence to the family, the unit commander wrote: “… I met Gadi at the training site when I asked a volunteer for a specific mission … Gadi was the first to leave the camp … He was an example and a symbol as a soldier and a man …” It is impossible for us to get used to the idea that he will not be with us anymore. Will be forgotten from our hearts as long as we breathe in our noses, and always remember and love. His family commemorated him in the synagogue in Ness Ziona.
