Reuven, Yosef
Yosef, son of Amos and Barcosa Reuven, was born on September 3, 1934 in Tripoli, Libya. In 1949 he immigrated to Israel. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1951. After being discharged from the army, he would occasionally go on reserve duty and was called to serve in the Six-Day War. On the third day of the battles, on the 28th of Iyar 5727 (7.6.1967), in the course of the patrol, Yosef fell, leaving a wife and a half-year-old girl. He was buried in the emergency military cemetery in Bari and later at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. A Torah scroll was purchased by the father and placed in the synagogue. The Netanya Municipality issued a booklet commemorating the fallen and Yosef wsa among them.
