Reuven, Yahya (“Chaim”)

Son of Baruch and Salima. Born in 1950 in Baghdad, Iraq, he attended elementary school in Petah Tikva, where he moved to Kibbutz Ein Harod (Meuhad) and attended high school there. He also did not skip one marathon and a single race, and he spent his free time watching the games, especially basketball competitions, he liked to travel and went on trips whenever he could, he liked chess and bought books to specialize in this game. He was a member of the “Science” book, and did everything he did quickly and efficiently He could not convince him, because he knew how to speak with logic and enthusiasm, he would catch up with his enthusiasm and always convince his opponents, and it was not easy to connect with him. Yehia was drafted into the IDF in early August 1969 and assigned to the engineering corps. In fact, he did not like army life because for him, this life, with its commands and discipline, symbolized the opposite of life. However, he argued that if there is a servant, it is better to serve with dignity. He decided to do all he had to do. He wanted to see the state exist and enjoy peace. But did not live long in it. On the 20th of Tishrei 5732 (9.10.1971), Sergeant Yehia fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the Petah Tikva cemetery.
