Reis, Ilan Meir

Ilan Meir, son of Ita and Aryeh Reis was born in Bat Yam on January 9, 1973. In October 1991, Ilan enlisted in the IDF Academic Reserve, completing his logistics studies at Bar-Ilan University. He later served as a maintenance officer in the Golani Brigade, as deputy company commander. On the 11th of Cheshvan (8.11.2008), he collapsed during a basketball game in his hometown and was brought to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Elkana. He left a wife, three sons and a daughter, a father, a brother and a sister.
