Razin, Giora
Giora, son of Nuta and Rachel Razin, was born in 1944 in Galil-Yam. As a child he wandered with his parents, Zionist emissaries, across Europe, and saw the consequences of the Holocaust and witnessed the clandestine immigration. From the age of 15 he dreamed of flying and his desire was to be a pilot in the Israel Air Force. He learned and read a lot about aviation, and improved his knowledge in practice by assembling models of various planes. He became religious and began to observe mitzvot. In May 1962 he reached the age of his enlistment in the IDF and Giora chose to serve in the most dangerous corps, in the Air Force he dreamed of from his youth. His dreams and way of life ended on the 18th of Iyar 5724 (April 29, 1964), when he fell while fulfilling his duties and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. A year later, the family published a booklet in his memory.
