Rachmilevitz, Joseph-David (“Yossi”)


Son of Zvi and Chaya. He was born in Munich, Germany on September 22, 1947. He immigrated to Israel in 1948. He completed his studies at Yesod Hatorah and later went on to study at Tiferet Zvi and Yeshivat Ashkelon. Joseph was a lively young man who was always willing to help others, and he saw his desire and purpose in his life as a gesture of humility and humility, He was active in sports and even liked to read books, and in January 1966 he was recruited to the Nahal to serve his people and fulfill his duty to the homeland. His service in the army was disqualified in terms of health, but he did everything to be accepted into the service, and when he was accepted, he rejected any administrative service he was offered and chose to serve in a combat unit. He was also serving in compulsory military service when the Six-Day War, in which he was wounded in a battle in Umm Kataf in Sinai, broke out on the second day of the fighting, and died on the 22nd of June 1967. He died of his wounds at the hospital. – In the “Soldiers’ Memorial” booklet in the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery, his memory was commemorated and the memory of the “Brigade in the Six Day War” was dedicated to him. Book “Infantry wipe system”. A few pages were devoted to his memory in bringing his father and his friends from the book “Maalot Giborim”, edited by Israel Erlich. In the Yalkut of the sons of the fallen soldiers in the Israeli army – “Goily Ash”, Volume IV – was brought from his estate.
