Rabinowitz, Yarin


Son of Lily and Daniel. Born on the 12th of Tammuz, July 4, 1990 in Bat Yam. Yarin joined the IDF on November 23, 2008. Yarin finished basic training and after serving in the battalion, he was sent to a tank commanders course. He was an outstanding instructor. From there he went on to officers’ training. He completed a course for armor officers with honors and therefore received his rank from IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz at the graduation ceremony, on February 16, 2011. At the end of the course, Lieutenant Yarin was sent to the 75th Battalion in the Sa’ar Brigade, and as a platoon commander he boarded the Mount Dov border on the Lebanese border. “Yarin fell during his service on the 22nd of Adar, March 28, 2011. He was twenty and a half years old. He was buried in the military cemetery in Cholon, leaving parents, four brothers and two sisters.
