Pollack, Liron


Son of Orit and Dov, eldest brother of Lior and Liam. He was born in Safed on October 21, 1973, at the end of the Yom Kippur War. A Yaffa baby, blue-eyed, blond curls. In his early childhood, he lived in Moshav Meron. When he was a year and a half old, the family moved to Haifa, where he grew up and was educated. Liron studied for the first four years at Ramot Elementary School, moved to the Ilanot Elementary School and from there to the Hugim Junior High School. Liron was the salt of the earth. He was educated and educated in the love of the land, its landscapes and uniqueness, all through his feet and eyes. At the age of ten, he joined the Scouts movement and was active as a trainee and guide until the end of 11th grade, and Liron participated frequently in courses and courses such as a course for trainees, a tour and navigation course, a wandering circle and knowledge of the country. At the beginning of the twelfth grade, Liron set out on a journey of roots in Poland as part of a youth delegation from the school, and was very moved by this journey. And the music flowed in his veins from a very young age. He had records, tapes, and CDs of music of all kinds. ‘Liron-Music’ – it was his trademark when he worked as a record player at leisure. In this work he saved money for his personal needs. His great responsibility and love for music combined his role as the person responsible for the amplification system at the Hugim school. As part of this activity he helped organize school events. After his death, a music room was established in the Ramot school. Liron was very prominent in the social sphere. He was a cheerful, yet humble, boy who radiated a joy of life. Thanks to his comfortable nature, his immense sensitivity to everyone and his delicate sense of humor, he was surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere of organizing, leadership and tremendous vitality. Liron was the center and focus of interest to his friends, and stimulates and accelerates various social activities. Liron was very popular and was always an attentive ear to everyone, who knows how to give a person in front of him a living space and yet be a true friend, remember birthdays and special events. Liron managed to penetrate everyone’s Lev and radiate tenderness and love. Sa’ar, his good friend, wrote in his eulogy: “Liron, the person most worthy of being called a friend, you all had real friends, other people have a few real friends, but you, all of them.” The attitude you gave everyone, the affection, the pat and the smile, In friends, you were like that and you are like that now. ” Liron was a very devoted son to his mother, a caring brother and a lover of his sister Lior and his brother Liad, and as a first grandson was bound by love and a wonderful relationship with his grandparents. He always gave them a great deal of attention, love and concern for their safety. Prior to his induction into the army, Liron began to improve his physical fitness in order to become a combat soldier. In March 1992 Liron joined the IDF and served in the Nahal Brigade. Liron was very proud of his green cap. Today’s conversations in the house revolve around army life, and his great ambition was to become an officer, a dream that was cut off in his Lev. After about a year of service in Lebanon, Liron felt bad several times. His complaints were not seriously examined. After he collapsed, he was referred to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem for chest photography. On August 8, 1993, the family was informed of the worst of all – a malignant tumor was diagnosed in Liron’s chest. From that day Liron lived for a while. Liron began with very severe chemotherapy treatments and underwent a bone marrow transplant. He had terrible torments, but Liron, in his wonderful way, with his optimistic character, with a display of heroism and strength, without a drop of bitterness, told everyone “it will be all right.” It was Liron who gave everyone the strength to cope. Not a single moment of weakness, surrender or concession, but a strong desire toAnimals, a real hero! In these difficult moments Liron was supported by his friend Hadas and the circle of his loving and supportive friends. After a series of agonies accompanied by great optimism and a tremendous desire to live like Liron’s body. On the 18th of Av 5754 (18.7.1994) Liron died and he was not yet twenty-one years old Liron was buried in the civil cemetery in Haifa and was survived by his parents, brother and sister Geva Rap, commander of the battalion, told him: “Liron was a child An angel who was sent to us on a budget assignment, a curator, a deposit for twenty years, who did us a lot of good, while carrying alone the heroism may have suffered the torments of the entire generation. As his commander, I will testify to Liron, who was one of his heroes, one of the heroes of the battalion, of the kind of warrior who knows how to win. And he won!
