Pines-Paz, Amihud (Ami)
Son of Hanna and Arieh was born on May 27, 1926, in Rome. In 1933 he immigrated to Israel with his parents and the family settled in Jerusalem. In 1937 they moved to Tel Aviv. Amihud completed his studies in electrical engineering at the Max Payne Professional School in Tel Aviv. As a member of the “Shdema” group at Hanoar Haoved in Tel Aviv, he went with her to agricultural training in Ginosar. He wanted to be a fisherman but became an expert and responsible for the banana industry. Because his father fell captive in World War II, he temporarily left his group to help the family. He worked for the electric company and guided a group in his movement, and after six months he returned to his group when she was already in the Yagur training program. After completing his training he went with the group to complete the settlement in Revivim. He was sent to a course in kibbutz Ein Harod, and when he returned to Revivim, he held positions in the secretariat, secretary-general, and later as a farm coordinator. Amihud studied and studied radio and radio. He married a wife, became involved in social life and the agriculture, and was particularly diligent in matters of security. When the Arab attacks on the agriculture began, he was sent to various courses, including machine guns, and took part in defending the place and helping Halutza when she was attacked. While standing up to the Egyptian invader, his fear for Jerusalem was besieged and bombarded, and in a letter to his grandfather he poured out his wry words and mocked the sanctimonious Christian world, which silently violated the sanctity of Jerusalem. When the Revivim farm was ordered to send five people to participate in the destruction of the enemy position in the village and the fortified camp at the Bir Esluj police building, and all the members volunteered to leave, they were forced to choose the five by imposing a fate, and in part Amihud fell in charge of a heavy machine gun. The breakthrough into the village was successful. They also broke into the police building after a grenade battle and took him. The building was mined and one of the mines was hit in the air and Amihud was killed with several of his friends in the same disaster on the 4th of Sivan Wednesday, June 11, 1948. He was laid to rest at the Revivim military cemetery.
