Perlstein, Aryeh


Son of Hanoch and Lipcha. Was born on May 25, 1930 in Chechnowitz, Poland, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1934. He studied at the Netzach Israel elementary school in Petach Tikva and from the age of 13. He was active in the Gadna, The underground movements, which were under British Mandate rule and despite the fact that he was the youngest in the group, did not hesitate to train against the British at night, He studied at the Max Payne High School in Tel Aviv, where he read books and articles and acquired many items in various areas. Aryeh was drafted into the IDF in May 1948 and served in the Gilboa Mountains, and joined the weapons course in Sheich-Munis, then he was taken to Sodom, where he read much and learned about the place and its history. He fell on 14 Shvat (20.1.1970). He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Gan Yavne.
