Patronio, Yehuda
Yehuda, son of Chava and Abraham, was born on 13/12/1932 in Trieste, Italy, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. He studied in his hometown in elementary school and later in high school. Yehuda was drafted into the IDF at the end of November 1950. After completing his basic training he was assigned to the Ordnance Corps, where he served in his regular service and reserve duty as a mechanic. Afterwards, the Armored Corps was assigned to the Armored Corps. In this role, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and his unit participated in the battles of Operation Kadesh and in the battles of the Six-Day War. After his discharge, he studied drawing at the ORT vocational school and joined the team of engineers and architects. During the Yom Kippur War, Yehuda served as a member of the Ordnance Corps, which spent all the days of the fighting repairing damaged vehicles in order to restore them to fitness. On November 23, 1973, he died in his service. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter, parents and brother. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “The late sergeant Yehuda served in an armored unit and fulfilled all his duties as an outstanding and dedicated soldier. During his service he held responsible positions in the framework of his profession, became fond of his commanders and friends and served as an example in his behavior and dedication. “
