Yosef, ben Bonia and Shalom, was born on January 14, 1953 in Jerusalem.. Yosef was drafted into the IDF in early November 1971 and assigned to the Nahal Brigade. After basic training he underwent a course and was appointed as a certified kashrut inspector. While serving as a kashrut inspector, he also served as a fighter. He was a dedicated and responsible soldier. He soon became fond of all the soldiers of the unit and was accepted for his easy nature and his honesty and his loving attitude to everyone.
