Ben-Marie and Moshe. He was born on June 9, 1974 in Ashkelon. Simo was a beautiful, smiling and healthy baby, the eldest son of a family of four. As a child, the family moved to Kiryat Malachi, and as a religious family, Simo was educated in religious institutions. He attended the “Netzach Yisrael” religious elementary school in Kiryat Malachi, which was diligent in its studies and its grades were exemplary. His friends affectionately called him “Simo”. He had an evening voice and participated in the choir of his school, “Perachi Netzach Yisrael”, in which ten to twelve year olds sang. At the end of sixth grade, he moved to the Chabad-Boys school in Kiryat Malachi, where he studied secular and secular studies, and Simo studied carpentry and electrification, and after three years of education Simo moved to an educational institution in Kfar Chabad, but his longing for his family And his friends overcame him and he returned to Kiryat Malachi and began to work for a living and support his family, and even helped his father, whose poor health made it difficult for him to run the store. As a firstborn, he was a guide to his younger brothers, who admired and loved him. In May 1992, Simo was drafted into a compulsory army service and was assigned to a heavy driving course, serving as a driver and cook in the maintenance corps, and was assigned to the parachute school. And helped support the family. With the help of his brother, Michel, he bought a used car. At the same time, he met his girlfriend, Sara, from Kiryat Gat, and often visited him in his car. On the night of the 28th of Shvat 5754 (February 9, 1994), Simo fell in the line of duty. During a happy vacation, he drove to visit his girlfriend, Sara, in Kiryat Gat. On the way home, the car was damaged and he parked it on the side of the road. A heavy truck, coming from behind, collided with him. Shimon was wounded and died on the operating table in the hospital. He was nineteen when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kfar Warburg. Survived by his parents, two brothers – Michel and Israel, and sister – Keren. In a letter of condolence to the family, Chief of Staff Ehud Barak wrote: “Simo was a cook in the paratroopers school and was described by his commanders as a soldier who is doing his job well. Was a friend in times of trouble for his friends, Ehud and disciplined, and created a good atmosphere in their joint work. “The commander of the parachute school wrote in a letter of condolence to the family:” Simo arrived at the unit after serving in various units.
