Ohana, Shalom


Genia and Vichy’s eldest son. Born in Petah Tikva on January 5, 1971. Shalom studied at Matmid Elementary School in Petach Tikvah, and continued in the city of Ben-Zvi and the Amal vocational high school. Shalom was very fond of nature, expressed in his many walks, the pets he raised in his back yard, and the many photographs he took of nature, photography was a favorite occupation of peace, and even during basic training the camera was ” Fixed ‘- as defined by his members – with him. For a while, Shalom was a member of the youth movement. He was a youth counselor in Beit Hatalmid and in the community center in his neighborhood – Amishav. He demonstrated his kindness and willingness to come to the aid of the needy by helping him with a deaf-mute girl who served as her mentor. He loved children very much, worked with them and wanted to have a lot of children. Shalom wrote poems and expressed his feelings and opinions about this world and life in it. Shalom enlisted in the IDF in February 1988. After completing basic training, he was assigned to serve in the Artillery Corps and took part in an artillery-rider course, first serving in the north and then in the territories and Lebanon. On March 11, 1989, when Shalom accompanied his girlfriend, an argument broke out between him and two twin brothers, the neighbors of the company One of the brothers stabbed Shalom and injured his wounds, and was hospitalized in the Hasharon hospital, and died the next day of his wounds, Shalom was buried in the Segula military cemetery in Petah Tikva.
