Son of Shifra and Yekutiel was born on January 3, 1907, in the town of Bormel, the Vohlin region (which was then part of Russia). As a child, he excelled in his cleverness and his perception of Jewish studies, and his father said to send him in his youth to study in the Gymnasium in Israel. Because of World War I, this program was broken and from 1915 he studied at the Russian Gymnasium in Lutsk and later at the “Tarbut” Hebrew Gymnasium. At the age of 16 he graduated with honors. From his childhood he loved the space, the work and the landscape, and after completing his studies he joined his father’s journeys in the forests for his business, but he was drawn to the pioneer society in the city, despite his parents’ efforts not to make the hard work. In 1924 he immigrated to Israel and worked in the field of tobacco leafing at son of Shemen. He worked hard for six months in the orchards, as a member of the “Hadarom” group in Gedera, and again in son of Shemen in the Herzl Forest, and afterwards among the moshavim. When he traveled to the Galilee and the Jordan Valley in 1927, he fell in love with Degania A. He worked there for a year and a half and was immediately honored and respected as a good person and a good worker, because of the need to help his parents in the Diaspora and prepare for their immigration to Israel. And especially in the university building, and all his spare time was dedicated to serving in the Haganah in that year of unrest and riots. In 1931, he returned to Degania A for permanent residence, and Yitzhak contributed to all sectors of the agriculture and invested great energy and dedication in every detail, as if he felt that his personal devotion depended on the fate of the entire agriculture. He was also aware of the importance of the pilot and of music and especially of security needs, and completed various courses and was active in the Haganah in the area and in the area. At night. He passed examinations and was one of the first pilots to fly among the Jewish community. In the winter of 1948, at the outbreak of the War of Independence following the United Nations General Assembly resolution of 29 November 1947 on the partition of the country, Tannaim was not yet trained to serve as a pilot. He served in the Golani Brigade and participated in battles against the Syrians, who invaded the Jordan Valley on May 16, 1948 , And took control of some of the area’s outposts, but were stopped by the array of our forces in the plant. On May 18 the Syrians launched an attack on a plant with the help of artillery and tanks. Our forces did not withstand the intensity of the Syrian attack. At first, the town of Tzemach fell, and finally the police station, and the defenders retreated under Syrian fire towards Degania. In this battle, on May 18, 1948, he was wounded by a bullet in his leg, and when he managed to approach Degania, and near the Degania fence, he was wounded again, and there he was found dead with his bandage on his leg. He was followed by a cheerful wife and four children, whose memory was included in the booklet “In the Storm on a Suffering Day”, which was published by the Degania group.
