Nir, Yuval

Yuval Nir, son of Ahuva and Joseph, was born on April 10, 1975 in Haifa, after the Yom Kippur War. After graduating from high school, at the beginning of December 1993, Yuval enlisted in the Paratroopers Brigade and began his basic training in combat. In the winter of 1996, Yuval began his career in the regular army. On May 30, 1997, Yovel fell in battle when he led his cadets to operational activity. The force under his command operated in the central sector of the security zone in southern Lebanon. Yuval was hit by a mortar shell fired by the terrorists.
