Nechmad, Shmaryahu

Son of Moshe and Miriam. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Tel Aviv. At the beginning of May 1968 he was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Armored Corps where he served as a counter-quartermaster, and for seven years, both in the compulsory service and in the reserve service, Shmaryahu served in the same unit. Excellent, dedicated, responsible, disciplined, professional, loved by his friends and commanders. One of the best soldiers in the unit. On 19.11.1978, he was killed when terrorists hit a bus he was traveling in in Mitzpeh Yericho.
