Daughter of Sylvia and Shahar. She was born on December 13, 1976 in Kiryat Haim. Aviva’s mother says that Aviva was a charming and smiling baby, and from her childhood she was full of joy. Throughout her years of elementary and high school in Kiryat Haim, Aviva was an outstanding student, ambitious and invested, with high achievements. Aviva especially liked the biology lessons. At the same time, Aviva was an outstanding athlete and a good and supportive friend. In her free time, Aviva loved to engage in physical activity, go to the beach, and take a walk in nature. She always thought about how she could help those around her, she helped as much as she could, free of charge, to students who had difficulty and volunteered in a veterinary clinic. Aviva loved medicine and showed great interest in the subject. She read books about the field, which she bought in her pocket money, and expanded her horizons. Aviva was thorough in everything she did, always full of ambitions and plans for the future. Aviva was drafted into the IDF in May 1996, when she completed her career as an officer, and Aviva’s father completed a course in the Intelligence Corps, while Aviva was killed while serving as a career soldier at the naval base. After eight months of service at the base, in which she demonstrated professionalism and responsibility, Aviva was summoned to an officer’s examination and was successfully transferred to the army and began the officers’ training course at the Training Base 12. Aviva fell during her service on the 16th of Adar 5757 (March 25, 5737). 1997). She was twenty years old. Aviva was buried in the Haifa military cemetery. Survived by her mother and three sisters – Hagit, Shoshana and Uriel.
