Nachtomi (Pikesh), Aharon


Son of Moshe HaKohen and Bella. He was born on 7 July 1927 in Czermannick, Poland, where he studied in Poland, and after his childhood, which was fraught with hardships and endless suffering during the Holocaust during World War II concentration camps, He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1945. After immigrating to Eretz Israel, Aharon was drafted into the IDF and after the War of Independence, He continued to serve in the permanent army – and reached the rank of major until on 28.1.1968 he died as a result of illness. He left a wife and two daughters. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. In his letter of condolences to his wife, the head of the quartermaster department, in which he worked devotedly, said: “His devotion to work and responsibility promoted him and put him on the military track and brought him to fulfill his duties.
