Musiov, Eitan

Eitan, Son of Shoshana and Moshe, was born on 21.1.1947 in Tel Aviv. Eitan, the third son and youngest son of the Mosyovs, was born a few months before the establishment of the state. And when he was eight months old, the family – his parents and two brothers, Shmaryahu and Shmuel – moved to the Green neighborhood of Holon. The Musiov family house was about three hundred meters from the Arabs’ front posts and was exposed to them. On the eve of the outbreak of the War of Independence, the rocket fire directly shot and wounded Eitan, and the next day the family had to move to Holon. The father, Moshe, who served in the British Mandate and the British Royal Navy during the Second World War on behalf of the Haganah, was called back to the IDF and was drafted into the IDF and was left alone with her three sons, He pointed to his little hand to heaven and called “Ah-ah …” as if to say, “Get out of here!” After Jaffa was conquered by IDF forces, the Musiov family returned to their home in the Green neighborhood of Holon. In the kindergarten, Eitan was a lively and intelligent child, and at school, he was kind to his teachers and schoolmates and the children of the entire neighborhood. Eitan was somewhat romantic and to some extent a “tough guy” who could suffer both mental and physical suffering when he went on trips with his friends in nature, on trips across the country. He grew dogs and raved with them in the sand, loved Hebrew poetry and Israeli theater, devoted much interest to painting and reading good literature, listened to classical music and jazz music of the greatest musicians in the world, loved the songs of Hagashash Hachiver and his sketches, Pleased. But he was not only interested in spiritual life and entertainment. As an eleven-year-old boy, he joined the naval company of Hapoel in Bat-Yam and completed three courses in the Gadna-Yam and spent six years sailing, later joining the Hapoel youth football team. Eitan was a close friend of his parents and a friend of his and his friends, but he helped support the family and worked at a health clinic and spent the evening at the Kugel High School in Holon.
Eitan was drafted into the IDF in late May 1965 and assigned to the Armored Corps. He underwent basic training, a tank course, served as a gunner and was immediately sent to a tank commanders course. “Despite his long-standing love for the sea and the waves, he quickly fell in love with the armor, and he called the unit where he served and diligently knew the tank, its parts, and details, and felt tremendous confidence in the tank’s ability to fight. During the Six-Day War, he fought with his friends from basic training in the brigade of Major General Gonen, and was awarded the “Six-Day War.” Towards the end of his compulsory service in March 1968, , And thus ended his compulsory service, finding time to visit his comrades-in-arms and the parents of his fallen comrades. At the height of the Yom Kippur fast, he was called to the reserves. He did not hesitate, saying goodbye to his mother, his grandmother, and all the family, calling his friends and reassuring them by saying that they would return home in a few days. “Well go for a picnic for a few days and come back,” he told everyone. Eitan acted as a tank sergeant in the battalion and boarded the first four tanks manned. On Sunday morning he went through the Arik Bridge to the Golan Heights (south-west to Hoshenia) and immediately went into contact with hundreds of Syrian tanks deployed along the oil pipeline. Eitan performed all the tasks impeccably. The next day, an artillery bombardment was launched on Monday morning, and tanks were fired. Syrian infantry soldiers were in every ravine, equipped with anti-tank weapons, and air battles took place in the skies. Our forces are asking for air support, and the battalion’s network is calling for help. A nearby tank was hit and wounded. Eitan came to their aid, left the turret and instructed his tank crew to evacuate the wounded. Suddenly a plane came out and rained rockets and Eitan was killed on the spot. This was the end of the day, on Monday, October 8, 1973 at about 11 am. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon, at a full military ceremony. He was survived by a widow mother and two brothers. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “Sergeant Eitan served in an armored unit and was a good and loyal soldier. He adhered to everything that was imposed on him and was admired by all his subordinates and commanders in the unit. “Eitan’s mother and brothers contributed to his memory a corner to circumcise the Israelites who come to the world, in the synagogue named after IDF soldiers; It also planted a grove with a wave of witness in memory of Eitan, with a steel plate on it, symbolizing his goals and his solid character. On the steel plate is a silhouette of a tank that symbolizes his love for tanks, and the words “Proclaims are calmer, lions have increased.” These are his comrades who gave their lives on the altar of the homeland. The grove in the Baka forest of the Jewish National Fund on the way to Jerusalem will symbolize its love for the people and the state
