Moshe Guterman (“Moishik”)
Son of Eliyahu and Sarah. He was born on 25 August 1946 in Yavne’el; Grandson of one of the founders of the moshava and member of a family of farmers in the Galilee. Where he graduated from elementary school. As a son of Yavne’el, he was deeply rooted in the work of the land and therefore continued to study at the Kaduri agricultural high school. He worked in agriculture and was the mainstay of this industry. Very sociable, with a healthy sense of humor and creates a pleasant atmosphere around him. Did not like to stand out in his friends’ circle and was loved by all. He was interested in the life of his colony and was devoted to his friends. He liked his wide family and respected her. Was interested in the past and was proud of its great share in the Yishuv. He showed a strong love for work and showed an attachment to animals. He was drafted into the IDF in July 1964 and served in a parachute Nahal unit. During this period of service, he spent a certain amount of time in holding Birnit and there he absorbed many cultural values. After his discharge from the army, he devoted himself to nurturing and promoting his agriculture, for he was a mission and a continuation of tradition, and indeed saw a blessing in his labor and found his happiness. In his love of animals, he began caring for the sheep in a dedicated manner, and for this he received a prize from the Ministry of Agriculture. When he was on duty, he served in the Paratroopers Brigade. called to reserve duty at the outbreak of the Six-Day War and on the third day of the battles he was 28 Iyar 5727 (7.6.1967). He fell in battle near the wall in Jerusalem while he was on the move to the Old City. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In the book “Marinas Gabro” of the Paratroopers Command were brought his history and the story of his last battle.
