Son of Rivka and David. He was born on the 21st of Tishrei Tashach, the eve of Simchat Torah (23.10.1959) in Hadera. He was the eldest son of his parents, and attended the Ahad Ha’am elementary school in his hometown. At the age of fourteen he chose a course of study and a military lifestyle and was enrolled in the military boarding school near the Reali School in Haifa. After completing his studies in October 1977, he enlisted in the IDF, completing his basic training course in the Golani reconnaissance unit, then completing a course for squad commanders and a course for infantry officers. He served as commander of a platoon, an operations officer, a company commander, a deputy commander of a battalion, a commander of the Golani reconnaissance unit, and a commander of the Barak battalion. , Who suffered heavy losses at the outskirts of Beirut, during which he decided to continue his military service, and in 1985 he embarked on an advanced course of infantry commanders in the United States, where he was appointed commander of the Golani reconnaissance unit. 1988 – Bar-Ilan University, history and international relations, and was appointed commander of the Barak Battalion in Golani. On December 9, 1988, in the Dimur area of ​​Lebanon, when IDF forces raided terrorist targets as commander of one of the forces, he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Hadera, leaving behind his parents, sister and brother Michal and Shai. Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin wrote in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family about Amir, who led his company in the Galilee-Lebanon War with honors, and who, while serving as commander of the Golani reconnaissance unit, was loved and revered by his soldiers – a fearless, professional, courageous and believing commander. And meticulous in carrying out his tasks, with a spirit of volunteerism, boundless devotion and above all exemplary man.
