Mansur, David (Dudu)

Son of Shoshana and Shlomo, was born on July 4, 1957 in Haifa, where his uncle was about five years old, when his parents went to France to study in an elementary school in France and acquired the French language. David completed his studies at the Ma’ale Hacarmel school and graduated with honors from the high school of the “Samet” high school as a building painter. Dudu was an active athlete and a member of various sports associations. David was drafted into the IDF in early 1976 and volunteered to serve in the Armored Corps, where he successfully completed professional courses in various tank fields, and a tank commanders course. In early August 1979, David was discharged from regular service, took the entrance exams to the Technion, and began his studies in the Faculty of Structural Engineering, although he was a brilliant student, and David remained shy and modest in character and was always willing to help the weak and advise his friends.
