At first he had difficulties adapting to the military framework, but when he was transferred to an elite unit, he was well adjusted and discovered as a soldier willing to invest. He also achieved impressive achievements and was greatly admired by his commanders and friends in the new unit. Eran fell during his service on the 20th of Sivan 5740 (June 20, 1990) in a road accident and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents and sister – Lihi. After his death, his organs were donated by his family to save lives, in the spirit of his way of life, in constant concern for others and in a kind of commemoration.
